Mid Day Light

This little plein air painting was done on a windy early fall morning while visiting a sheep farm in rural North Carolina.  The sky was glorious and quickly changed as a front blew through.  I was reminded of one of the "cardinal rules" of plein air painting that morning -- don't walk away from your set up when its the least bit windy!!  Found myself down pulling up cobalt blue and cadmium red grass!  This is an organic sheep farm and I wanted to be invited back to paint again.
